 Background: the powerd patch discussed above enables WOL on the WLAN
 device. With WOL enabled, we have found that the system sometimes misses a
 wakeup event. dsd is tracking the root cause for that (cannot locate the
 exact bug, probably around #11050 and #3732).

 With WOL not being reliable enough, the bug originally reported here is
 merely ameliorated, and we need the workaround patch proposed by Simon.
