Comment(by greenfeld):

 Something similar was seen with a NiMH battery and Q7B09/EC 3.0.5 on a
 XO-4 C1 with 13.1.0 os20.

 The XO charging LED started flashing critical warning with 24% capacity
 reported and shutdown a few minutes later. Starting again showed the
 critical LED warning again and OFW reported 23% was available, the battery
 being full & discharging. Trying to boot the computer further resulted in
 it shutting down before the Sugar environment was reached.

 When plugged into a charger the XO started trying to charge still claiming
 23% capacity.
