 2.8mA is two orders of magnitude too small to explain the symptoms. It
 would take 1000hrs or 6 weeks to discharge the battery. It would require
 in the order of 100mA to explain the symptoms.

 Testing SKU292, after 5 hours off, the battery indicator says 98% 4:05
 remaining. ie OK

 Testing with no battery and ammeter on external DC supply, multimeter is
 accurate to +-20mA which should be accurate enough, get 0+-20mA for 5
 trials each of software shut down, short press shutdown and long press
 shutdown. ie OK
