 Thanks, thats a nice easy way to hit it. For me that seems to reproduce
 the hang seemingly every time, before the progress bar indicated
 completion.

 However, I can't get 4 threads as shown in your trace under any
 circumstances. When the updater is running, 1 thread is created, and it
 exits cleanly when the work is done, leaving just the main sugar thread,
 which seems to agree with expectations.
