Comment:

 I did create the trigger file:

 echo "python /home/olpc/Activities/Welcome.activity/activity.py" >
 /home/olpc/.welcome_screen
 }}}

 Installed the rpms and rebooted and the welcome screen did display fine.

 Put the rpms in my public_rpms folder.

 Now creating the trigger file is left.
