 In today's release meeting we have touched upon the possibility of closing
 this ticket without shipping this. We've converted almost all of the
 relevant OLPC-shipped activities to GTK3, quite a bit more than we
 originally anticipated. The remaining couple will be completed soon.

 So we are not sure that this still has value. There may be other
 activities that would benefit, but maybe it would make sense just to do
 GTK3 porting when they emerge. For an activity to require this and benefit
 it would have to meet all the criteria:
  * GTK2-based
  * Scrollable regions that are often used in the UI
  * where it really would be sad to have to use the mouse to scroll
