 The kernel and driver in comment:14 was put on one laptop locally running
 runin with 12.1.0 os19 and has been running for 20 hours without issue.

 Jon created an alternative 3.1.4+ kernel with a KMS driver posted at
 http://dev.laptop.org/~jnettlet/xo_1_5_kms.tar.bz2 .  This kernel as
 packaged does not hang in runin, but has a lot of regressions (a MMC
 subsystem which cannot be used with libertas, periodically remounts the
 filesystem read-only, no debugfs for EC in runin, etc.)
