 With 12.1.0 os8 I don't think the resize is guaranteed to happen.

 I have a mix of XO 1.5's and 1.75s, most of which where the resize
 happened.  But one XO-1.75 reports having a 2 GB main partition with only
 ~110 MB free, and fdisk shows /dev/mmcblk0 has not allocated ~1.8 GB of
 space.

 Rebooting this XO does not result in the resize occurring.

 I would need more information on how to research this to diagnose why.
