 Procedure:

 On XO-1.75 B1 on freshly installed OS5 (11.3.0 series)

  - plug 2 asix USB ether - they are connected with a crossover cable

  - boot

  - boot will stall with msg "udev: renamed network interface wlan0 to
 wlan0-eth0" for ~30s, then show a "file already exists" error briefly.

  - /var/log/messages shows NM complaints about the wlan interface not
 being found
