-----------------------------+----------------------------------------------
Booting Os882 on XO-1.75 C1 units, we find prefdm sometimes fails to
start.
This very similar to #11088, however I find some indications that it may
have a different root cause.
Comparing a good vs bad boot, /var/log/messages says, in the failed
startup:
{{
kernel: [ 673.417370] init: system-setup-keyboard main process (581)
terminated with status 1
kernel: [ 673.433817] init: ck-log-system-start main process (582)
terminated with status 1
}}
Comparing Xorg.log,
{{
diff -u <(cut -b13- predfmhanglogs/Xorg.0.log) <(cut -b13-
predfmnohanglogs/Xorg.0.log) | less
The good run finds system-setup-keyboard
(**) Power Button: Applying InputClass "evdev keyboard catchall"
+ (**) Power Button: Applying InputClass "system-setup-keyboard"
(II) LoadModule: "evdev"
...
+ (**) Option "xkb_options" "terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp,"
(II) config/udev: Adding input device AT Translated Set 2 keyboard
(/dev/input/event4)

catchall"

keyboard"
