 I've run six units for roughly 48 hours in a test bed with this kernel.
 ''prefdm'' and ''powerd'' were off.  The 10757_engage function above was
 used.  The results are confusing:
  * none of them appear to have captured either of the "insane" messages in
 dmesg, perhaps because the 1ms wait was enough to change behaviour,
  * all of them had accumulated several minutes of difference between
 ''hwclock'' and ''date'', even though at the start of the test ''hwclock
 --systohc --utc'' was run,
  * five units had ''hwclock'' showing a later time than ''date'', but one
 unit was reversed,
  * some of them, especially Rev I motherboards, would regularly fail to
 wake at the scheduled ten second time, and when this happened would not
 wake with keypress either, but had to be woken with power button.
