 before the device tree information was available from OFW on 1.75, board
 and platform identification was added to the EC driver as a stop-gap.
 this happens relatively late, however, and the information should really
 come from the firmware.

 the code in drivers/misc/olpc-ec-1-75.c:platform_detect(), which populates
 olpc_platform_info, should all go away.
