 On XO-1 Q2F05 with a CP tag:
  * external DC insertion with or without battery present does cause power-
 up,
  * battery insertion without external DC causes power-up.

 On XO-1.75 with EC 0.3.05, with the byte at EC address 0x7e80 set to 0x43:
  * external DC insertion with or without battery present does cause power-
 up,
  * battery insertion without external DC ''does not'' cause power-up.
