Comment:

 Attached an XO to the Line In of another machine and recorded in 2-channel
 audio using Audacity.  Verified that the sound level from OFW's startup
 sound and 'test /audio' command were seen at the same level in both
 channels, and that 'test /audio' alternated .

 Could not verify in Linux in os883 because the headphone jack detection
 seems to be broken when using the Speak activity, and many other
 activities still seem to have broken audio support.
