Comment:

 I can reproduce this on XO-1.5 in Sugar, I haven't looked if it
 does/doesn't happen in GNOME.

 What does happen is that the system gets woken up by a WLAN packet before
 the dim timer has expired, and as far as I can see, powerd will only dim
 the screen if the system has performed an uninterrupted sleep for the
 whole timeout. If it gets woken up by a WLAN packet, it doesn't adjust the
 next rtcwake timer to be any shorter. I might be reading wrong though.

 I think the reason that we get woken up by WLAN more than before is due to
 having enabled multicast wakeups.
