 It is a useful and correct metaphor.  I think close wontfix, too.

 Otherwise we'll have to change ''Copy'' to ''Duplicate Licensed Text''
 (can't promote illegal copying), ''Shutdown'' to ''Rightsize'' (can't say
 we will shutdown a factory these days), ''Favorites'' to ''Spiral'' (can't
 promote favouritism), ''Ad-hoc network'' to ''Local network'' (ad-hoc
 development leads to slums), ''Ruler'' to ''Linear Measure'' (favouring
 democracy), ''Terminal'' to ''Expert'' (the association with fatal disease
 is unfortunate), and ''Become root'' to ''Elevate rights''.  Then there's
 the keyboard, where ''ctrl'' sounds so ominous, ''shift'' is all about
 refugees, and ''erase'' happens to people in some countries.  ''Battery''
 is just more pain.  ;-)
