Comment:

 /etc/hosts and /etc/sysconfig/network set the hostname to
 "xo-##-##-##.localdomain", which resolves to 127.0.0.1 when looked up even
 without a network connection.  Both of these files appear in
 /etc/statetab.d/olpc as well.
