Comment:

 Thanks for the patches. Based on these ideas I implemented something
 similar: a generic space under intermediatesdir (which is really cut out
 for this kind of thing) where stuff can be shared between the build
 environment and the image. Then i've made similar changes to the sugar
 modules.
