 it turns out OFW idles at C2 by default.  running this command:
 {{{
 ok ' c4-idle to do-idle
 }}}
 forces OFW into C4.  it wakes every 10ms to check the keyboard.  on
 problem motherboards, simply running this command, and waiting, will cause
 a freeze within minutes.
