 I got a hang to occur with the updated May 7 kernel (although I don't
 recommend including it in a build; logging everything for wifi makes it
 extremely painful to use the XO).

 In order to do this, I set the console syslog level to 2 via sysrq-trigger
 to avoid getting all the i2c data echoed out the serial port in addition
 to /var/log/messages.  That made the machine somewhat usable while
 avoiding too much of a delay so we could hit the race (or other)
 condition.
