 Thanks for investigating all this. Sorry to be a little blunt but this
 would be better as a thread on olpc-devel. I can't see what would be the
 single actionable item we get out of this ticket, so it's unlikely to go
 anywhere in this state. There are a few gaps in your understanding as
 well, which I'd be happy to point out in discussion, as well as various
 other things you could look into that would be of value.
