Comment:

 although i can't find the specific commit to the XO-1 EC codebase that
 fixed it, testing richard's Q2F04 build (from EC master) does not exhibit
 the bug.

 i'm going to close this, though the firmware is unreleased.  the powerd
 workaround is in place in 10.1.3.
