 new kernel for testing ASAP, please:

 this one should detect the hang, at which point it will print 3 lines of
 log messages (starting with a "MISSED TIMEOUT?" line), then hang the
 system as before.

 please reproduce and post new logs. as these new logs will only appear
 when the hang happens, it shouldnt be any harder than before to reproduce
 the issue.
