 Please move the ntpdate issue to a new ticket, as it should be considered
 separately from this one which is about timezone assignment.

 As for setting the timezone, I think we already have all bases covered.

 To set the timezone at build time, use the new base.timezone setting.
 There is no need to write this into gconf for this to apply in Sugar.

 To set the timezone after deployment, use the sugar control panel.

 As far as I am aware, this is working. What am I missing?
