Comment:

 This problem is still occuring. I have take the Linux driver out of the
 picture by disabling it in the build. I am reproducing this with
 q4a14h.rom. The date resets to 1/1/00 and the time to 00:00.[[BR]]
 Steps to reproduce:[[BR]]
 ok 9 4 rtc!   (sets month byte to 4)[[BR]]
 bye  (boot to OFW prompt)[[BR]]
 ok 4 rtc@ .[[BR]]
