Comment(by saadia):

 I have uploaded a program called "acctest" to this ticket. Run acctest to
 verify that the accelerometer is working properly. No movement is
 required, but is it is acceptable to move the machine during the test.
 The usage from the command line is as follows:
 '''acctest:''' Accelerometer test
 '''Optional argument:''' number of times to test accelerometer. If no
 value given, test run 100 times.
 '''Output:''' Prints "_" for each time machine is stationary and "#" for
 each time it is moving.
 At successful completion of test, outputs "Accelerometer test succeeded"
 '''Error conditions:'''
 "Accelerometer driver not installed" (acctest exits)
 "Accelerometer position file unreadable" (acctest exits)
 "Accelerometer failed @ <test #>" (accelerometer is not changing in an
 expected manner, acctest continues)
