Comment(by garycmartin):

 This appears to be something in the new pootle po files that is breaking
 Clock-6 (to be released, see git.sl.org), using the old Clock-5 locale
 files works fine, but generating new locale files from current pootle
 (./setup build) produces locale files that Clock doesn't like (silently,
 no errors are logged). Easiest test case is to click the "Display time in
 full letters" button, it just will show "What time is it?" in black text
 rather than the current time in pango coloured full text (e.g. "nine
 minutes past eight AM").
