 Speculation: power to microSD withdrawn by EC.  A method to prove: boot
 os6 from USB, thereby excluding microSD, and try to reproduce.  But I
 failed to get the boot past a particular point and couldn't figure out
 why.  Last output was ''Enabling /etc/fstab swaps''.  Perhaps I erred in
 preparing the USB drive.  Probing microSD supply pins may be easier.
