Comment:

 This is broken in os31 for 1.75, as well as the Sugar->GNOME function, but
 perhaps differently(?)

 The XO hangs showing the text console when it is asked to switch GUI
 environments.  The last line printed on the text console implies we tried
 to access the OFW directory tree to set/read the DCON setting, but the
 setting was not there.

 Rebooting the XO will restart into the desired (switched) environment.
