Comment(by greenfeld):

 Could not reproduce success; need more information, although if I remember
 the AP login I'll try what I'm thinking.

 Is the code for registration tolerant of APs with spaces in their ESSIDs?

  openBSS candidates: ['Neighbor', 'XO Farm 901ND']
 attempting connection to open BSS Neighbor
 attempting connection to open BSS XO Farm 901ND
 unexpected ESSID value: "Neighbor"
 unexpected ESSID value: "Neighbor"
 {activation lease not found banner displayed after a delay, XO shuts off}
