 Manually using the Control Panel to set schoolserver.greenfeld.org as the
 Jabber server works, and I have two XOs reporting with olpc-netstatus that
 they are using gabble, seeing each other, and able to share activities.

 Ejabberdctl also implies two users are connected (although using the
 base64 strings), so I'm not quite certain what the XOs are trying to do
 that times out.

 The line of code in schoolserver.py implies three types of exceptions may
 be the cause.  I may explore that myself a bit more.
