Comment(by manuq):

 I was expecting the pulsing activity icon animation to be in the same
 black and white as the file icons shown for a external device in the
 external device view.  And the same file icon in colors in the Journal
 after it is loaded.  I think the current behaviour is right, but we may
 discuss this on the list.
