 This is back to #9350. However even with "Virtual 1200 1200" in the
 xorg.conf is also fails rotation with:
 xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
 X Error of failed request:  BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)

   Minor opcode of failed request:  2 (RRSetScreenConfig)
