 I did review the logic of the updater, and in the past I traced its
 behaviour against a server looking at the server logs.

 We can configure a newline separated list of URLs in /etc/olpc-update
 /activity-groups and ~/Activity/.groups -- for each URL in those files it
 will fetch

  * URL / 10.1.3
  * URL / 10.1
  * URL / 10
  * URL

 _Stopping at the first successful request for that base URL_. So if we
 provide URL / 10.1.3 it overrides the later entries in the list.
