 Yes the patch works, I see reconfiguring root... then Loading
 /lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/us.map.gz. Prior to the patch I observed
 reconfiguring root... en not found.. Confirmed by checking
 /etc/sysconfig/keyboard
