 Just saw this problem on a second laptop, a B1 SKU199.  The symptoms were
 very similar: dark screen, power LED on, no response on serial port, but
 the power consumption was different (1.5W instead of 2.7W).  Again, this
 unit was stable w. OS14 and no X/WLAN.
