 On SHC12900064 (1.75 B1), the Open Firmware volume control turns on/off
 audio at the low end of the {keyboard-based} volume control range with a
 loud pop.  I could not reproduce this happening while playing audio using
 the "sound" command on an XO-1.5.

 This XO is stuck in an infinite 250ms sound loop though with some sort of
 EC/OFW communications failure, so I will check some more 1.75s tomorrow.
