 A possible solution is disconnect the signal when is not needed anymore.

 The following patch disconnect the signal where the toolbar_box is
 exposed.

 The only drawback is, if we create buttons after the activity started, the
 callback will not be applied until the button is exposed. I think this is
 not a common case. We create the toolbars before starting the activity.
