 Also somewhat of concern to me is the fact that we are placing the ambient
 light sensor behind a light pipe.

 While we do not guarantee calibration, if we are changing the pipe
 material used or how close it comes to the sensor we could significantly
 alter readings to the point that part of the light sensor's range is lost.
