Comment:

 This was an undocumented change in the light pipe material, which hasn't
 been noticed as OLPC does no regular QA on production (Quanta performs
 regular QA, but didn't notice the change, or if they did had no clear
 spec. for this.)

 Quanta is looking into this matter --- we hope to return to the original
 material ASAP.
