when associated with a network, the wifi led on 1.75 blinks steadily, at
 something a little under 2hz.

this is caused by the OLS sensing code in the EC -- in order to get a
valid ambient light reading, the EC must disable the wlan light for the
duration of the reading. (you can see the rate of the blink change by
holding your hand over the area, to put the sensor in shadow.)

the OLS LED should be moved, if possible, to the disk activity LED's
lightpipe. interrupting a flickering light source will be far less
disruptive than interrupting a light source that has always been steady on
 our other products.
