 Other things that use /ofw include:

  * olpc-pwr-log,
  * Sugar, My Settings, the power icon is removed if /ofw is absent,
  * Sugar, My Settings, About my Computer, obtains data from /ofw,
  * Sugar, Register, needs SN and U# to work,
  * the Backup activity, uses SN, and;
  * the Log activity, uses many items.

 Perhaps instead of /proc/device-tree, we should provide standard
 filesystem locations for SN and U#, or an OLPC specific utility program
 that can be called.  Had we done that, we might have been more insulated
 from this change.
