 Measure already manipulates the volume levels, because a working activity
 is more important than the user's volume preferences.  It puts it back
 afterwards.  It is appropriate for Distance to do this.  Catch the loss of
 visibility events in GTK+ in order to restore the volume to normal,
 therefore it will happen when switching between activities.
