 the prefdm service for systemd expects gdm/X11 on tty1.  Therefore before
 prefdm is run the getty for tty1 is canceled.

 I am not 100% sure which moving pieces are not interacting properly after
 this getty is canceled, but it basically results in our olpc-dm getting
 started on tty2 where the debug output of systemd is being written to
 causing the framebuffer to write all over the Xservers root window.

 For now the temporary fix is to edit /lib/systemd/system/prefdm.service
 and comment out the line Conflicts=plymouth-quit.service
