 My understanding is that mDNS will keep us awake just over presence info
 and *any* collaboration. For example, collaboration between A and B will
 keep C awake.

 Unless my undertanding's wrong, I think the Sugar-level "hold" is more
 appropriate. The PID we're using is the PID of the activity, correct? So
 if it dies or we forget to rm when it closes we're in the clear.
