 Pippy's "Thanks" String code example cannot be run on an unmodified 10.1.2
 XO system.

 It does run on a Fedora 14 Beta/0.90 Sugar build, and I cannot spot any
 obvious code differences within the example itself, so this may be a OLPC-
 specific issue.

 I re-imaged the XO back to the factory 10.1.2 build to make sure I was not
 editing something.

 The traceback seen is:
