 I don't understand how ''thin firmware'' has any bearing on our renaming
 the network interface.  An interface name would still be required.  Our
 test kernels for ''thin firmware'' used wlan0 as well, but we can rename
 that.

 A major part of our reasoning for sticking with Fedora was to not burden
 downstream deployments with the retraining that would be required if we
 shifted distribution.  So I think it is important not to change the
 network interface name without good reason.  Being inactive when the
 change arrives from Fedora isn't a good enough reason to me.
