Comment:

 Tested kernel 1edf204 on XO-1 SKU39 os852.  /sys/power/lid-state is
 present, and was not before on the shipped kernel.  With powerd stopped,
 /sys/power/lid-state was examined, and it correctly shows the state of the
 lid switch.  /dev/input/event1 delivers data for lid switch open and close
 events.
