 After a bit more fiddling, we have olpc-utils-1.0.30 where...

  * We stick to 24 bits on XO-1.5, to avoid the mosaic effect after lid
 close/open.
  * XO-1 supports it, but disables the "internal" screen (in F14 there is
 no driver conflict, in 'master' we have it enabled).
  * XO-1, in this 'single screen' mode does not use Xephyr. It runs pretty
 smooth.
