I was testing the new powerd-29 build on 10.1.3 os351 by opening and
closing the lid of several XO's, and an XO-1 managed to partially hang
itself.
While the user interface/keyboard was still usable on that machine, no USB
device plugged into the system could be recognized, and the system seems
to think that its wireless card is gone even though future suspend/resume
cycles show networkmanager commenting about the rfkill switch being
disabled and then enabled.
Analysis of /var/log/messages shows USB and i2c errors around 10:52:13
[144 seconds after boot], followed by the failure to suspend a process ~20
seconds later. This makes the issue similar to #8301, but I am not kernel
savvy enough to track down what happened.
